2 pounder from England i.d. and info

Could anyone please translate all the stampings on this shell my father-in-law brought home from WW2 serving in the U.S. Navy including the Normandy invasion. We will be giving this shell to one of the Great Grandchildren and would like for him to have some documentation for it. He usually manned the LCM and LCT landing crafts, but was later traveling around France and England. As with others, he only opened up about his experiences at the very end and etched into this shell which grandchild he wanted to leave it to. Can the nose fuze be easily unscrewed by hand?

If not, beware that the shell may still contain high explosive.
 
First of all, Thank You!!! The stampings on the projectile are 2PR H.V B-1T II T/N Lot 282 11-42 B8. A question about identifying case and fuse as Mark 1, I thought it was stamped MK II meaning a Mark 2? Is there a reason for this?

Do you have an image of the markings? If the B8 is actually BB, that is the monogram for Bagshawe & Co. of Dunstable who would have manufactured the projectile. On the other hand, if it's BS it denotes the projectile was manufactured from solid bar as opposed to being cast or forged.

I'd echo Falcons comment - this certainly looks like an HE projectile with a No.246(?) fuze. The fuze looks tightly screwed in and even if it comes out may still contain live components. I'd urge caution!
