I have not seen this headstamp before, can anyone give me any relevant information on it,thanks008.jpg

had one similar and always assumed it to be for export as no broad arrow and primer not numbered. which is typical export by VSM

As Clive said for export although i have seen a 1914 dated British naval case with N and arrow with that primer in with no arrow or the correct no5 MK1 stamping.

I have an early experimental 1.59 Crayford with the shorter incendiary projectile with Copper venturis
The headstamp on this case is VSM Auto Mk A
I understand that the Crayford cases are cut down 2 pounder cases,is there a connection here?
Tim.
