2 PR APCBC & 6 PR APDS question

Do any members know what the 'B' represents in 2 PR APCBC IXBT

Its also used with the 6 PR 7 CWT APDS Mark IBT

Any ideas?

BT or IBT=Maker ?

Hi "Q" I am fairly sure that BT is a makers monogram as I have seen a fair few 6 and 17 Pounder APDS rounds stamped up with BT or IBT as you state-sorry but can offer no more than that.

Thanks for the reply Chris, I'm not sure its a markers monogram (but i'd be happy to be proved wrong).
In the instance of the 6 PR APDS the 'I' is the mark of shot and the 'T' signifies tracer.
