2" proof round?

Was going to list this on SA, before I do so can someone identify correctly what this is. I picked it up years ago described as a 2" mortar proof round. Is that correct?

Stamped markings include 2 LB 15 OZS 2 MOR 1 11/56 a broad arrow and two unclear marks.

recce ,,ive seen these before described as proof rounds,,unfortunately i cant remember where,,unless you have previously posted this on bocn and its this one i have seen,but i have seen one before

No I've not posted this before.
 
Recce. I had several of those over the years & always sold them as proof rounds . If memory serves , I've actually had them with PROOF stamped on them . Hope this helps . Mike
