I found the cases late last year or earlier this year on my favourite beach and gave them a clean yesterday. I found the driving bands about 40 years ago at a another coastal place that was a range in WW2, although I suspect the brass driving band may be a little more recent than WW2. I have worn many of them as rings on my little fingers (I take glove size 8 1/2 and have relatively slim fingers for a bloke). The driving bands clean up by themselves over a few weeks of wear. All will shortly be for sale in classifieds, if anyone is interested.
