I picked this up recently and its new to me.
According to the books its a 20 x 120 RR Simonetta. Anti Aircraft. Belgium (1932).
There is no headstamp. Rim diameter is 20mm.

Does anyone have any information on the gun and ammunition used please?

Thanks.

Dave.

Nice find!.
No info , but looks like a cross between an Oerlikon action and a Madsen rim.M
aybe some sort of 'assisted' API action weapon?.

Bob

I have one of those cases, but an illustration of the round in a 1930s ammo catalogue (FN, I believe), which identified it as the Simonetta but included no other information, is the only reference to the ammunition or gun which I've ever seen.

Perhaps Bill Woodin knows more (well, if anyone does, he will!)

Thanks Tony, Bill W got back to me but doesn't know anything about it apart from what De Hek says in his listing.
Bills has a plain steel pointed projectile.
Dave.
