20mm Cartridges ID

I am not as knowledgeable on larger cartridges. On 30 and 35mm cartridges I have a few headstamps with a year and lot # on but they also contain BM and Oe. Does this mean they are Oerlikon cartridges made by BM or are they Oerlikon made cartridges where BM supplied the brass. These are on cartridges after BM and Oerlikon parted ways. Just need some clarifications from you larger cartridge experts on what the two manufacturers names mean on such cartridges,
Thanks

It's all very confusing. Oerlikon apparently still had an interest in British Manufacture and Research Company even after it had been sold to Astra Holdings. There are cases marked 'BM' long after it had 'gone to the wall' and the Grantham site had been sold. BMARCo from its very beginnings seems to have been surrounded by subtefuge.
