20mm HE identification

I have a HE projectile that is mated to a 20mm (Hispano) case - not sure if one goes with the other or they are mismatched, and was wondering if someone on here could advise me.

The projectile has 68-23,140-24 and the date 9-42 as well as a B within a circle around the waist, and the brass fuse is marked KOP-11-42-LOT-R-17 and NO 253 1 KK

Any help with identifying this would be great.

Thanks,

As part of the same batch of 20mm ordnance, there is a solid steel projectile and case, no markings on the projectile except CMMM on the base. Another marriage, or were they meant to be together?

Thanks, again.

I think the USA case is correct made by Dura Division of Detroit Harvester Corp. Ohio.
KOP is Kingsbury Ordnance Plant, Laporte, Indiana. 253 1 fuzes were used.

Not sure about second cartridge. I think the projectile base marks are UK??

On the second case, the single "broad arrow" mark indicates manufacture by Radway Green, in Cheshire.
