Seen at the ECRA meeting on Saturday was a 20mm Hispano case with the headstamp AGM-1944 20MM-M21A1. Nobody at the meeting to whom I spoke knew who the maker was. Can anybody here help, please?
There was an AGM code used by the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Co. of Green Bay, WI back many years ago. You didn't mention the case material. I know they made experimental 20mm aluminum cases, not sure about brass though. There could well be another company that also had the AGM code assigned.
Thank you, Gentlemen.
The case was brass, very blackened through age, and was recently found by the son of a friend on an old WW2 USAAF base in Lincolnshire.
Roger.
