20mm ??? link

One of the teams at work found quite a lot of links today,out of curiosity we are wondering what they are from gun ,aircraft ???.To me they look like they are for 20mm and after removing the heavy rust they fit nicely on one of my 20mm rounds.can anyone provide me any more info even though they are in poor condition please..Found in the UK on a former wartime raf bomb dump site (location witheld as its an ongoing task)
