When the GAU 7 was not developed further due to problems with caseless ammunition there was still an interest in a gun which could fire 25mm shells at 4000fps. 30mm Gau 8 cases were shortened and necked to 25mm.
There are 2 versions, this one which is the shorter and a slightly longer one.
Standard GAU 7 projectiles were used.
At the time of development in the mid 1970's it was decided not to develop it further.
All INERT and empty.
