Here is a 25pr Aluminium cartridge stencilled for BLANK.
In use by the Irish Army but that is all I know.
Does anyone know anything about them??
Manufactured by DHH in 2005 Filled by PTL in sept 2007
Does anyone have a picture of an unfired round ?
Cheers
Gary
Hi Hangarman,
I have had some of these cases, some anodised like yours and some plain alloy silver, perhaps unfinished cases.
Also 3pounder and 75mm cases, all alloy blanks.
I can't remember the full name, but the last H of DHH stands for Holdings, they had a depot in Devon, and the firm was bought up
buy an Italian company I think.I didn't think they were manufacturers though, more distributors, but I could be wrong.
They are surprisingly thick walled cases arn't they.
Cheers Tim.
The Dutch Army also use these aluminium carts for saluting purposes. They come 8 to a wooden box and are vac packed in a foil bag. Inside the foil bag the cart has a red plastic plug, this is removed before firing. The head of the cart is protected by a black poly cap, underneath which is a primer protector.

The Dutch Army carts come in a green painted wooden box with reinforced corners. Inside there are 8 carts, all originally vac packed. There was a foam sheet on top of the carts but I forgot to get a picture....
Cheers
