26mm Projectile (British or French?)

Hey Guys,

Here is the Projectile in questions it is roughly 26mm in diameter and you can look at the pictures for the other measurements. I have no clue what I have here!

the base is 26.26mm and the body is 26.01mm, rust could cause a little discrepency though

That is what I was leaning towards. The driving band looks very similar to a British 18pdr I have
