Hi I have this 2pdr case for a while and would like to know what type of projectile it would have had and if anybody got a cheap relic one they don't want and to have a swap.
Cheers

Its a WWII Naval 2 PR case (40x157R). you'll probably want a 'Shell, 2 pdr, HE, HV, MK IT'. but there were also various practice projectiles etc.

Andy,

If you didn't know, it is from the antipodes.

Hi TimG I think they were used in a pom pom gun if its the right term to use and anti torpedo then.

Andy,

My apologies, what I meant was that it's Austaralian. Both the case and primer were manufactured at S.A.A.F. 1 Footscray, Victoria, Australia and the primer was filled at No. 1 Pyrotechnic Factory, Maribyrong(sp?) Australia.
