3.7" MkIV/V anti aircraft gun - what type of projectile?

good morning, I've been offered a pair of MkIV/V shell cases, these are the extra long cases based on necked down 4.5 cases. But what type of projectile was used with them - the standard single banded HE? Presumably the 'Probert' type were only used on the MkVI? Any thoughts?

Dave are they the same length as the Mk 6 probert cases or the intermediate length one like the one on the link below?

hi Dave, not sure at present - they are stamped MkIV and appear to be full length but there was nothing to judge them against apart from a 2pdr naval case! I'll get back when I have that info. Dave

hi Dave, sorry for the delay, actually they are the MkVI - the light was poor when I first saw them. They're 33.75 inches tall, dated 1944 and stencilled PRAC on the base but I guess they still would have held the Probert banded shells. I'll get around to giving them a good clean at some point - been barn stored since they were fired so have picked up a load of grime! Dave
