Hello,

I know a German 3.7cm shell with exactly the same shape and bands used as a proof shot (3.7cm Anschieß geschoß) with arrows for inert round.

Here a drawing of the 3,7 cm Anschiess Geschoss Flak 18 with a single FES driving band. It is a proof shot like MINENAZ already wrote. Color should be red brown.The older type had 2 copper driving bands.

If yours has no arrows and no data stamped in, I am afraid you have a fake. About 20 years agoo someone in Germany produced a lot of fakes of this projectile.
