I was reading " Historical Development Summary of Automatic Cannon: 20-30 Millimeter" by Dale M Davis and came across the German 3 cm Hardcore round. I said this looks like the one I have. So went to the shelve were it was and Dam if it don't match the drawing. Except this one is not threaded near the top like the drawing. I looked at it closely and can make out " ayo" and their is a long arrow and to the right of it I can just make out a " 4 " . Their is another number but cant tell what it is. Any one ever see one of these rounds or projectiles. He did think the German used processed Uranium for the cores as tungsten was running out or ran out. It was labeled as " Special armor piercing with added incendiary effect". Projectile fits nice in my MK103 case. Well, you'd better hope that it doesn't have one of the legendary (mythical?) German uranium cores, because they wouldn't have been made of depleted uranium and would have been decidedly radioactive.

The arrow(s) on side of the projectile indicate that it was a training/test projectile without "real" core. Possibly there has been some core to simulate weight of real core.

Hello,

Thank you Mine. Nice projectile. Was it hard to acquire it. I never seen a real one. Thank you for showing it. Larry.
