3 inch 20 CWT drill round restoration advice

Hi, what's your advice on restoring this drill round? A simple coat of (clear?) varnish or more?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Simple coat of clear wax polish, nothing else. I wouldnt even touch the green patina leave it alone, its nice as it is.
