3 inch 50 caliber Lot Number

DEADLINE222

Well-Known Member
The lot number in question is on a 3 inch AA MK33 MOD 0 projectile with a permanently attached dummy fuze made by the US Naval Gun Factory. (Fuze made by NGF)

As described in an OP, I feel that this projectile is a manufactured for drill purpose, assembled from rejected components.

I have plenty of PDF files instructing the reading of lot numbers, yet I cannot make this one out.

Ultimately, I am trying to determine the manufacture's name and the year of production.

I acquired the aforementioned projectile and could not determine the nomenclature.

Here are images detailing the another's original cartridge type in which my projectile belongs. Positive identification based on the weld marks left around the base of my projectile from where it was originally, permanently attached to a steel, MK 9 casing as pictured.
