Picked up a pair of these, now looking for a projectile for one, Don't know who
made them and I think the date is 1901 ? Both have the identical headstamp

There are mark 2 cases made by the Birmingham Metal & Munitions company.

17 7 01 Is the loading date (17th July 1901).
