The hand book has 6 pages of text and 6 pages of illustration on ammo. book is 9 x 6 ins and the print is small so if I scan it and close it down to posting size the print is unreadable but heres one of the illustrations as a test. 2pr
Finally managed to finish this round the other day, Its seen lots of use so its never going to be mint. It had a badly varnished nose and corrosion on the case, which had to be removed. used 1200 paper and bronze wool to remove corrosion. Polished all brass with brasso and removed all traces after. restained nose and polished with beeswax. It still shows dents and case cracks but its over 100 years old. In a few years it should start to get a nice patina back, which protects the brass. Would still like to see another the same or any other variations on 3pdr drill rounds. Tig.
Hello All,
I saw a smaller and somewhat later drill/practice round this afternoon that looks quite nice. It's described as a WW2 2 Pdr IX to XA A/T Practice Round, and can be found on www.worldwarwonders.co.uk
