3 Pounder

I x-Posted this query on IAA Forum. Fuze identified as being fitted to UK 12 Pounder and larger, so not correct for the 3 Pounder....

Not sure if this fuze is shown with cap is removed before firing. If so i assume the the fuze itself is a smaller diameter than the diameter and bore of the gun and could be fired.. If the cap is part of the fuze to be fired then it looks like a bit of a squeeze to fire down the bore. But looking at the projectile it has been fired and i would assume that the fuze would be damaged or show signs.
I have had projectiles in the past with funny looking fuze fitted assuming they were not correct but were correct.
As we all know to complete a projectile you put on the end what you have and what fits. Although it may look odd it may be a fuze you can use with such a projectile.

Sometimes big fuzes could match.
I found on ww1 battlefields fired 3pr shells with time fuze No 65A (very curious).
I saw in collection this shell with No19A or No44 (looks too big).
