I have this 3" 60lb Mk2 rocket head that looks unusual with a base from a 6" projectile with drive bands and made it look unknown to me.
The base weighs 7.5kg and does not seem to belong to the rocket but maybe used as a stand to keep it upright for display?
The rocket head seems Australian made but I do not know what M.I.S. means. Also the Proof of fuze stencil may be wrong too?
The nose does not seem to have threads to unscrew but maybe under the paint.
The tail spigot holds the empty No 878 Mk1 fuze in a steel adaptor and the body is filled with sawdust so all is inert.
All comments are welcome.
