Whats a gallery round ? is it just a standard round with reduced charge for indoor training

Hi Spotter
Yes it was a reduced charge for training it was in 1902 that Major Gaudet a Canadian Officer submitted a short range training cartridge to the british. so the round became the 303 Gaudet short range practice cartridge.
