30mm ADEN

The 30mm DEFA belts were made up with a mix of copper and iron driving banded projectiles,the iron presumably as a decoppering rounds?.
In Claude Jacquinet's book on the 30mm DEFA, there are some drawings of very similar projectiles,with a plate crimped on the base.
If the HE and Practice type projectiles are of the same profile,makes sense to use the same body and probably easier to manufacture to a similar standard up to the filling stage.

Aden of defa ??
Hi this is my 30mm projectile with steel drive band ,my base is flat, but solid one piece . body is marked 157 S 038 the fuze is marked INERT so my fuze is not French like Tony mentioned it would read INERTE . the picture of the Aden HES Projectile is marked RG 92 copper drive band all my different Aden prac rounds from 59 to 92 have copper drive bands all marked RG . not 100% sure if my flat based one is DEFA or M788 TP Apache , the Green case is French Defa 30 x 113b as is the british Aden 30 x 113b
if anyone has any ideas on the 157 S 038 on the projectile that would be great it may be a French DEFA body but a british M788 TP Fuze as the threads are the same. My Aden threads are to big for the Defa or M788 one ???
