Hi to all,
picked this up today, well several of them actually,it seems to be basicaly a alloy case 30mm Aden.
Marked on the case 30MM TP M788 AT J99A506-001 and near the'belt' 0(orU)SE996E006-006.
My first thoughts were of the Apache helicopter or the Tiger useing the Nexter M781 gun.
But I am well out of my comfort zone, and looking for any info on these rounds, also a photo of the projectile(training practice).
Goes without saying if anyone has projectiles but no case there is a swap in the offering!

Cheers
Tony

Thanks Allan,
Are they the same as the old brass cased projectiles?(they look it to me!)
Cheers
Tony

Yep, only the Apache's M230 cannon uses light-alloy 30x113B cases AFAIK (the ammo is known as 30mm LW = light weight).

There are three principal service rounds for the Apache:

M789 HEDP
M799 HE-I
M788 TP.

The pic below of the LW (from the Military Cartridge Relationships article on my website) shows an M799 in my collection:

Thanks Tony and thanks for the kind offer, I already have a couple so don't need any more.
Dave.
