Can anyone ID this 35mm case. the only markings are "188 BM 84" on the bottom. The case is 228mm long and the base is 55mm diameter.
This projectile body came with it.
Thanks for the info the projectile body is strange. Threaded on the top and an internal thread on the bottom. I'd like to see a complete projectile of this kind as most just seem to have the end section seperate.
It was made by BMARCO, a subsidiary of Oerlikon, in Grantham, UK in 1984 as part of Lot 188.
Agree with Tomsk that the proj. is probably the central part of an APHEI/T or similar. The base interanlly threaded part would take a base fuze or tracer perhaps and the forward thread for the ballistic cap over the core amd filling. Not a cannon specialist though.
