Perhaps

Norway used 37x307 case that became shorter with use to 37x302 etc. The base size was the same as the long navel 3 pdr. cases. Early ones are Hotchkiss, then they made there own and perhaps contract. Perhaps this is one too ?

Interesting item !

I see the primer has been fired but the case looks like it has not as there is no apparent crimping and the "grip rings" appear to be still quite proud ?
Lovely item Fjordhouse.

Hello, when i found the case, there was, 1 more,,, same case only stamped with MADSEN, it was not possibel to get that one so i got this one, many thanks for the information, Ben

Hi Ben I was going to say Madsen and then saw you last post. The original cases were 316.7mm long and then in 1935 the shorter 305mm version was produced. The shorter case was the case chosen for cartridge manufacture at the IDI Ltd. Witton factory from 1935 until production for this cartridge ceased in 1939.
There's an excellent booklet by Peter Labbett all about British 37mm Madsen ammunition.
You did very well to get this case, needless to say if you find a spare I'd be very interested in adding it to my collection.
Dave.
