
The photo shows a case which appears to have been unloaded without firing (leaving the base of the neck slightly bulged).
It measures 37x140R44, and has the headstamp PATR. FABR. * KARLSRUHE *
The only 37mm case of this length described in Robert Mellichamp's book is said to be for a Gruson gun, BUT the diameter of the base of that case is said to be about 53mm. The subject one is only 44mm.
Can anyone tell me what gun this is for, please?
