hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can tell me what this 37mm pom pom case is for. Standard 37 x 92mm format but the headstamp is not one that I've come across before -
'Lot 8 Px (with a dot under the x) 93'

and then more stamping near the case mouth

'T 3 97 B
3

any thoughts?

many thanks as always

many thanks for the fast reply Yodamaster. Any idea why the stamping in the side of the case - was this just peculiar to that firm?

Hello,
I am sorry but I think that Px is the manufacturer as said by Yodomaster but it is Puteaux in the suburb of Paris. The two O in the headstamp mean that the case has had two redoing.
The stamping on the side of the caseis for the factory who has loaded the case. It is a case for the Navy so I think that T is possibly for "Arsenal de Toulon" 97 is the date and B the powder's supplier.
Regards,
Dandebur.
