Hi. Although I joined a while ago I have never posted on this site.
I used to work at the Royal Small Arms Factory up until it closed in 1988 and was part of the Design and Development team that worked the EWS (Enfield Weapon System) in 4.85mm form before it became the SA80. we used to have to inspect every round before it was loaded as there were manufacturing faults at that time.
I have an ammo can from that time which I thought may interest any 4.85mm collectors please see below.
