Here are my 4 " Drill / Dummy rounds I have accumulated over the years.
I have just experienced a feeling of stupidity and excitement, all in one go. While placing the items I realised that the one was a different calibre. (Third from left.) I had always assumed that it was a 4" Mk 16. I noticed that the rim diameter was smaller than that of the MK.16. 141 mm as opposed to that of the Mk.16 which is 150 mm. This is in fact stamped Mk 15 & 17.

From left to right:
1. Drill Mk 16 1943
2. Drill Mk 16 1943
3. Drill Mk 15 & 17 1938
4. Pusher Hoist Drill Mk 16 & 21 Case dated 1957. Projectile 1936
5. Drill Mk 16 1942
6. Guage Testing Fuse Setting Dummy Mk 16 & 21 1953
