4 " Mk. 16 & 17 Drill Round

4" Mk. 16 & Mk. 17 Gun. Used on South African Naval Ships which were originally from Britain.

Interesting to see the internal make-up of this round.

I assume the internal spacer / weight pieces are cast iron and are intended to make the drill round weigh the same as a loaded round?

Hi Brian,

Yes these cast iron spacers make up the bulk of the weight.
