Pictured below is a war dated 40mm Mk IVT British made projectile painted in practice/tracer configuration. It also has the broad arrow mark on the driving band. It came with an American plug painted in red and yellow which would appear to match with the projectile paint markings. Also stamped into the body is 'R. A. 2/24. 2' .
My questions are:
Is this a correct combination of projectile and plug? And why?
If not, should it have a British PRF?
What does the R.A. stamping represent?
Any help greatly appreciated.
