oh i love those where on earth did you get those!?!

Are you sure they are inert?

I bought a simialr practise round a while ago and found that althought the grenade was inert, the propelling charge in the hi low chamber in the case was still there.

I only paid for them today so havent recieved them yet. However the seller informs me he is a collector and they are 100% inert with struck primers.

They are deffinitely inert. As I say, I have bought a couple of bandoliers from the same guy and pulled a couple of heads off after you said that. All clear!

Great, mine was not.

Be aware that these grenades have a peculiar case. They have a small sealed high pressure cup that contains the propellant. This is in the centre of the larger case. When the primer is struck the charge fires and ruptures the cup and allows the gas out into the low pressure case and launches the grenade.

If you pull the grenade and theres is what looks like a big primer in the middle with no evidence of firing then the case is likely to be still live.

If the primer is struck then there should be no problem.

Regards,

Will.

Dano1917,
Just keep an eye on specialistauctions.com. All I did was search for 40mm. They turn up from time to time. I looked again on the site tonight and there were a few others selling single ones. I just won two auctions tonight an L5A5 Batton round and a 25mm KBA round:) for 5 cant wait to add them to my collection

all the best

Chris

They arrived today and are a superb addition to my collection. I have checked them and they are 100% inert. As requested I have taken a photo of the struck primers.

Hello
I am looking for photos of that bandolier.
I'm trying to make one of these for my 40mm grenades, but through lack of details, I'm stuck.
If anyone here got a minute to make two or three detailed photos, I will be really grateful.

Any information about length of tubes and notch in that tubes will also be helpful.

Sorry for digging out old thread tho.

With regards
James
