I've had this one for a couple of years.
The body is 40.11mm
Measured over the rear band its 43.38mm
Length is 115.00 mm
The cap and body are made out of some sort of alloy.
The cap has a rubberised coating.
All INERT.
Anyone got any ideas?
Dave.

A WAG:
Are you sure it's a projectile? May be some hydromechanical valve part. The rubber part makes me think seal.

Hi, no I'm not sure about anything. You may be right, it may not be ordnance related at all.
I was given it as part of an experimental group rounds which of course doesn't guarantee its ordnance related but it may well do.
Dave.
