455 Webley ammo and Box

For your viewing pleasure.... I just found this and its the first .455 revolver box that I have come across.

Canadian Dominion Arsenals, 11 December 1931 dated.

(case was open prior to me receiving it... no ammo boxes were harmed in the photographing of it :D )

Hi Missing. I've updated the H.9 mk III page by adding your pictures, and credited you accordingly. Could you get a shot of the Tin Liner and a close up of one of the cardboard boxes please?

Cracking box ! Wish I could have one:tinysmile_shy_t:. Image 9 shows the explosive class label indicating the box is Naval ammunition. Does anyone know if the Army used half boxes as I have only ever seen Naval ones?

Box measures: 21cm x 17cm x 12cm

No markings on internal tin at all, just painted tin.

Nice brass cotter pin with string attached to "T"
