I bought this years ago, and like most of my collection has sat in a cupboard for years. I did put a pic on here years ago, but here's some better ones. I love all the stencils and in some way this is more interesting than the contents, if not as valuable.

Hello,

I could be very happy to sea pictures of a 5.25in star shell !!

Regards

Hi Have had a look at the markings on the box

1 Not ever seen a P69 box but it looks a lot alike a P72 we used for the 4.5" Shell

2 Dont know what Vide Tacl 432 is but it was examined at RNAD Broughton Moor (BRM) 13/7/1954

3 Quantity 1 shell Quick Firing (QF) fllled Wooliwich (W) 5/1940 Fitted with a N215 fuze Lot 22 filled in 9/45 does not give the filling station of the fuze It could be ROF Bridgend It was Refuzed at Broughton Moor 12/1948

4 I am unable to read original fuze markings

5 Red Markings Examined (INS) RNAD Broughton Moor 8/3 1955

6 It was Re- Assemibled at RNAD Crombie (what was re-assembled I dont know as I think the shell was Separate load

Hope this info helps

Steve EX RNAD Trecwn

Just seen your post Steve, thanks, never heard of Broughton moor! I imagine it was reassembled with a new Star component as it was probably time expired 45 to 55 being ten years.
I have an instruction book from Trecwn somewhere on packing bomb tail units, will find it out and put pics in this section. Tig.
