.50 cal copper point ??? . I've only seen .50 Amax Alloy Tipped any ideas what this is

Possibly an AP or API that was exposed to corrosives (salt water or tannic acid) that finally dealt with the paint, leaving the tip brighter. I've seen that on .30-06 AP rounds left in a swampy area that had lots of tannic acid. Cheers, Bruce.
