I have a couple of relic crusty condition .50 rounds, normally scrap pieces, today i decided i would have a go at making one more displayable by cleaning just one side, this way it can be shown in the condition it was found and what lies beneath the crust.

I have been looking at the forum to find cleaning tips for small arms casings from WW1. Also just as interested in if there is resource to learn to preserve items such as a trenching tool and a German canteen from rusting further.
