I really like this early model of the British 51mm HE mortar bomb - mainly because of the extravagant use of purple paint to denote experimental.
The early fuzes were variations on the 2" No.161 MK 4 fuze - the one on the mortar bomb is marked XL98E2 whereas the other two are just marked XL98.
I would be grateful for any information regarding the bottom left fuze - it is a different design but has the British "REMOVE BEFORE FIRING" imprint on the cap.
