Does that manual call out the Bakelite windshield? I haven't seen one before. Or at least haven't noticed.

I guess no, but earlier variants of the russian HVAP shells came with bakelite cap. The same existed in 20mm ShVAK and 76mm

I had no documentation on that round up till now. However, I have yet to find a Russian manual detailing the ammunition for the ZiS-2 57mm gun.
