5cm Gerat 56 (Flak)

I believe the pictures below show a shell case for the 5cm Great 56 gun and I would be grateful for confirmation from the experts on here. Mouth diameter is 50mm and length 461mm. My understanding is that only a prototype(s) of this gun were made so I assume from the markings that the case would be considered experimental. Can anyone explain the meaning of 'L1VI5821' ? Third picture shows the case next to a 5cm Flak 41.

Wow, those are rare! According to my references the measurements would be 50x459R74 and exists in brass and steel, designated L1V1582 FlaK.

Great original information Greif, many thanks. All the information that I could find on the net was that the Great 58 was 5.5cm in diameter. Does this mean that those references were not correct or is there such a gun? Your chart only shows 5cm Great 56 and 58 in 5cm calibre.

The Gerät 58 was indeed in 5,5 cm calibre: the case measured 55 x 450B.
