I was in search of a No. 69 Grenade today when I found this cartridge. I don't collect cartridges, but the markings on this one seemed quite good so I picked it up.

The primer is marked with a B in a leaf, can some tell me the meaning of this marking?

I had to throw in a picture of the real Ammo Cat as well.

Nice case! Your case is made in Canada by the /C stamped on it. Canada, maple leaf on the primer with a B inside, hmmmmm?

Bata Shoe Company of Canada and filled by the General Engineering Co , Scarboro

The case was made by a Firm Called Robert Mitchell and Co. I am unsure where in Canada they were located.
