6pr 10cwt question

The pictures below are of one of my favourite rounds, the 6pr 10cwt.

There is a lot of information about the gun itself to be found on line, but very little about the ammunition. Hoggs book on WW2 artillery only mentions one HE round which has a Mk X T projectile fitted with a no 244 fuze. However, the round shown below has a Mk VI projectile (no tracer) with a no 242 fuze fitted into an adapter, which fits into the body. Both projectile and case are dated 1939. The crimping is probably not original, but certainly done a very long time ago, and I'm confident that the two are a correct match.

Until I acquired this round I had always believed that the Mk VI projectile only belonged with the shorter 6pr naval case. I am now thinking that this combination shown may well have been used in the early days of the development of this ammunition.

In the list of numbered series of fuzes it clearly states that the number 242 fuze was used in the twin 6pr gun ammunition. As the no 244 fuze was not introduced until 1940 it could not have been used on ammunition produced in the mid thirties, adding more weight to the argument. Interestingly, the wider threaded no 244 fuze fits the Mk VI projectile body minus the adapter,

Does anyone have any official information on the early ammunition for the 6pr 10cwt gun that would confirm or otherwise the above? Many TIA.
