I have been asked about this.
[FONT=&quot]"Tip is lead, main body is cast steel or iron. Copper land (missing) was situated at the very bottom (not easy to see unless the light is just right). From the bottom there is a threaded recess with a script "2688" and something that could be a "Q", "P", or "R" stamped. Thing weighs 5 pounds and 14 ounces, is approximately 2.04 inches (52 mm.) in diameter, is approx. 7.7 inches (196 mm.) long."[/FONT]

I'd imagine its heavy for its size. Looks like a tungsten core inside a steel sheath.
Any measurements?

It looks like its cored, part of a APDS of some sort ?

My description as given to me was in black type and didn't show up; so here it is again
