7.5cm PaK40

Noting a recent classified ad by Weasel ( http://www.bocn.co.uk/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=38&title=7-2c5cm-apcbc-pak40&cat=5 )for the complete round, I am hoping to positively ID a recent addition to my collection. While the profile of the projectile is very similar to the one in Weasel's listing, there is a difference in the driving band(s) which now makes me think I have something else. Or at least an earlier or later version.

So, is mine a 7.5 APCBC? Or something else?

Hi Slick... 2 driving bands on yours suggests it is a projectile for the Panther tank Kw,K 42.

Hey Slick,

In order to complete the round, you'll need a: BdZ 5103 and a casing type 6387 st.

Note.

This ammo was used with the StuK 42 as well, that gun was basically a kwK 42 minus muzzlebrake, used with the JPz IV.
Also the navy adopted a few KwK 42 as Bunker PaK, the cases for these rounds are marked with Kriegsmarine Abnahme stamps.
