Who can tell me more about this 7,62x51 tungsten cored AP projectile. It has a tungsten core placed in an aluminium jacket. The space between the core and the nosetip is empty.
Base stamp: CG 99
Has anybody got any info abaut the Vo and the armour penetration of this cartridge?

Thanks in advance,

Regards, DJH

On the wk2 ammo forum member X supposed it might be the nammo AP8 or AP9.
According to X ;"Both do 18mm at 300HB at different velocities (910 and 820 m/s even though their commercial video claimed 950 m/s for the one shown there but no designation given)".

With the search function on google "7,62x51 AP8" or "Nammo AP8 AP9" I found this result. It looks like a FFV Bofors produkt.
I have tried to puzzele out the text , and I have come so far:

7,62x51 FFV Bofors AB

Total weight (g); 8,21
core weight (g); 5,93
Core diameter (mm); 5,59 (is correct I measured it)
Nose cone angle (degr); 58
Core hardness (HRC) ; 1450
Core material; Tungsten Carbide

Complete projectiles and disassembled cores
