The Rocket System 70 mm Practice L1A1 is a free flight air-to-ground rocket with
an inert warhead. It is designed for use as a training substitute for the range of explosive
filled 70 mm rockets. It is fitted into and fired from a Lightweight Rocket Launcher
M261 mounted on the Apache Attack Helicopter. Each aircraft can carry four launchers
of 19 rockets giving a possible full load of 76 rockets.
