A friend has a 75mm Howitzer or Tank cartridge and has asked me for ID data on the headstamp. Here is what hee sent me:
Beginning at 6 o`clock reading counter-clockwise
GMC then small triangle very small N

above. then 574L then small triangle.then 16 and
another triangle. then B at 12 o`clock.
Beginning at 9 o`clock reading clockwise 75 then DEC
Here is what I think I know:
GMC 574L--Case Maker--General Motors Corp. Lot #574L
Triangle Marks--Inspectors Marks
75--75mm Case
DEC--Unknown
B--Loading Facility (Who is this)
Can anyone add to this or correct my mistakes
